Robert (Bobby)'s Story
Life
At present, Bob is Assistant Vice President, Human Resources at USAA, a financial services firm based in San Antonio, TX. Bob was Director, Human Resources at Limited Brands(Bath and Body Works, Victoria's Secret, Limited Stores, Express) in Columbus, OH. He worked at Bath and Body Works for 18 months and as the HR Director for Express, a 800 store retail chain with over 20,000 associates, for 18 months.
Bob was a General Manager Associate at Harrah's Casino in North Kansas City. Bob was promoted to Director, Customer Marketing. Prior to joining Harrah's, Bob worked for Frito Lay from 1999 to 2002 and was a HR Manager at Frito Lay's Irving manufacturing facility. In this capacity, Bob managed recruiting, performance management processes, employee relations and other HR related programs. Prior to this assignment, he managed national recruiting programs. He managed and developed strategies for internet recruiting, campus recruiting, leadership designates, internship programs, diversity recruiting initiatives and military recruiting. Prior to Frito Lay, Bob was a search consultant with Lucas Group for four years, specializing in recruiting former military officers. As a partner in the firm, Bob helped the organization grow from a $15 million to $30 million. Additionally, Bob managed a team of recruiters and the diversity recruiting initiatives. Bob achieved President's Club each year, Dom Perignon Club each year, and was ranked in the top 10% of recruiters.
Bob spent 9 years in the military as an Army Officer. His most notable military assignments were Desert Storm (1991) and Company Command in Europe (1992-1993). He received numerous awards for performance and service.
Bob is a 1986 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point with a degree in General Engineering. He also earned an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas in 1999.
Bob is a native of East St. Louis, IL. He currently resides in San Antonio, TX, with his wife, Shawnette and with his two children, Robert III(Freshman-Texas Tech University) and Briana (High School Senior).
